Dear Family and Friends,                   Monday, June 09, 2014 at 11:26 a.m. (EDT)

This week has been a great one! We were able to teach quite a few people this week, so that has been really good!

On Monday we drove up to Bruswick to exchange with the Elders up there. We showed up at 3:00 and played a card game called "Killer Bunnies" until 5:00. At 5:00 we continued our tradition of going to Taco Bell before exchange. It was really good, but the workers at this Taco Bell, don't know how to make the food super good. I got a double decker taco and instead of spreading the refried beans all over the burrito, they just slapped a big glob in the middle. I stayed in Brunswick that evening with Elder Gardner.   Elder Thomas and Elder Dean went to Yarmouth. Monday evening me and Elder Gardner taught a couple of their investigators. They fed us dinner and then we taught about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. At the end of the lesson I had to use the restroom but decided to wait until we got to the apartment. Well it was about a two mile walk and I really needed to take a leak. We saw a Dominoes with a public restroom and I was able to make it just in time. So that was a whole lot of fun. They sure dont have a whole lot of public restrooms in New England.

On Tuesday we did service at the Food Pantry in Brunswick. We got a call just afterwards asking if we could give a blessing to a member who was in the hospital in Lewiston. We went with a member up there. The man had broken both of his legs and was in a lot of pain. So we gave him a blessing. Lewiston is in a different Zone so it was pretty cool to see it. They have a huge Catholic Cathedral. There was also a lot of Muslim people, I guess there is a lot of Somalian refuges there.

On Wednesday we had District Meeting in Topsham. We were able to teach a family. The parents didnt join in, but we were able to teach all the kids. It went pretty well.

On Thursday we taught a lady who has been investigating for quite a while. We brought a return missionary with us. We then had dinner at a less active's house. It went pretty well until the end of the visit.  It is too bad to see people choose the wrong path.

On Friday we taught Heather and Olivia for the first time. The lesson was really great. They basically taught us. They had read through the Restoration Pamphlet 3 times before we came over. They commited to be baptized on August 17. Now we just have to get the rest of the family in on it!

On Saturday we mowed a lady's yard. After doing the yard work for her she fed us lunch and we shared a lesson with her. She loved it and wants us to come share more next week. We then taught a lesson to two men.

Sunday was really good. We were able to get a priest out with us, he is 17. He came and taught two less active members with us, and we went tracting in Yarmouth. It went well. So yeah that was my really good week!
